Global Director - Quality, Contract Logistics
Job Description
Development and implementation of an enhanced Integrated
Management System to meet the requirements of corporate ISO
registration across Logistics. Mitigation of business risks through
establishing quality standards, protocols and processes that will
assure a quality performance Assurance of compliance with all
accreditation standards in CL including ISO, VDA, HACCP, GDP and
SQAS Definition and monitoring of KPIs across quality assurance,
quality controls compliance and cost of quality.
Key Accountabilities:
- Design and Develop DP world CL Quality Program, strategic
plans, policies and processes to establish a world class quality
management system for Contract Logistics.
- Create, Cascade and execute DP world Quality Strategic plans,
policies and processes within the region through both compliance
and GSA/process auditing.
- Provide specialist training on Quality Assurance including ISO
maintenance, RCCA investigation, claims investigation and trending,
statistical process controls, Quality planning and change
mgmt.
- Deliver effective training to ensure awareness and knowledge of
contract logistics quality standards and updates to the quality
management system.
- Provide specialist Quality direction to the bid teams for new
RFQs.
- Establish and deploy Quality adjacent standards in partnership
with Group/Corporate departments, including processes and controls
that result in achieving the business Key Results in areas such as
quality, change management, training, business risk, business
continuity, reduction of costs from nonconformance, waste
reduction, and on-time delivery.
- Recommend and implement strategic changes in the Quality
strategy regionally and globally; establish standard tools and
visible management guidance to maintain best practices.
- Build, develop, mentor and manage the global CL quality team
including documentation mgmt. specialists, trainers and
administration managers.
- Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster
improvements and improved working relationship
- Maintain and continually improve the Integrated Management
System (IMS) including the establishment and maintenance of
certifications for applicable standards; ISO 9001, VDA, GDP,HACCP,
IFS, SQAS, Eco Vadis.
- Provide governance and support for Quality and training during
Launches ensuring launch objectives are achieved.
- Design and develop new tools for Quality KPI mgmt. including
cost of quality, claims, adherence to quality standards, change
mgmt., OBA, accuracy tools.
- Responsible for the management and leadership of an engaged
team, promoting collaboration and ensuring that each is developed
and evaluated against goals and objectives which are aligned,
specific, measurable, attainable yet challenging, realistic and
time-bound
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in a Logistics industry – Automotive,
Healthcare verticals preferred
- Experienced in leading Quality professionals in a matrix
organization
- Experienced in the launch of new business and leading growth
initiatives
- Experience in Quality management within a Logistics
Environment, preferably in automotive or GDP.
- Knowledgeable in Quality standards (ISO, VDA etc) including
certification process
- Strong interpersonal skills and can communicate effectively
with all groups and levels
- Good written communication
- Lean or 6Sigma qualifications - preferred
