Instructional Designer (f/m/x)
As an Instructional Designer and Video Developer (f/m/x), you
will be primarily responsible for producing engaging video-based
training content. You will build and maintain instructor-led
training, web-based instruction, and eLearning courses that align
with our clients’ training needs. You will also support other
Instructional Designers in developing video content for multiple
platforms, including eLearning.
In this role, you will participate in every phase of course
development: from needs analysis and initial design, through
development and beta testing, to final production and rollout. You
will collaborate closely with clients, subject matter experts, and
internal teams to ensure effective video storytelling and clear,
impactful instructional content.

What you'll be doing:
Video Production & Development
- Collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter
experts to create and refine scripts, storyboards, and visual
assets for video-based training
- Produce, edit, and finalize video content using Adobe video
products (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects)
- Ideally, be able to produce training animations using Adobe
Animate to enhance learner engagement and clarify complex
concepts
- Leverage both in-house video production and external
vendor/studio partnerships to produce content
Instructional Video Development
- Partner with subject matter experts to extract technical
knowledge and translate it into effective video scripts and
instructional modules
- Design engaging and effective learning experiences using proven
adult learning principles
- Develop course materials for multiple delivery channels
(instructor-led, online virtual, and self-paced eLearning)
- Work through revision cycles to deliver final, polished
courses
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Interface with Product Management to integrate new product
features and updates into existing course materials
- Coordinate with external video design vendors as needed,
ensuring deliverables meet high-quality standards
- Work with marketing to align with the company style guide and
collaborate on various projects
Process & Program Management
- Create and manage a repository of technical training assets
(videos, animations, graphics)
- Contribute to process documentation and best practices for
effective, repeatable video production and course launches
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
What we look for:
Required Experience
- BA/BS or equivalent degree in a relevant field
- 1–2 years of experience designing and developing instructional
or how-to video content using instructional design
methodologies
- Fluent German and English language skills
Preferred Experience & Skills
Tools
- Video: Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects
- Audio: Adobe Audition, AI-created voiceover (e.g.,
Articulate, Synthesia)
- Animation: Adobe Animate
- Graphics: Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop are a
plus
- Other: Microsoft PowerPoint
Video & Multimedia Skills
- Proficiency in video and audio editing tools and equipment
- Understanding of lighting, environment setup, resolution
selection, file types, and proper placement/utilization of
recording equipment
- Experience creating video scripts, storyboards, and multimedia
assets to deliver engaging instructional content
- Post-production expertise (e.g., color correction, transitions,
animations, and audio/visual editing)
Instructional Design & eLearning
- Strong attention to detail when illustrating step-by-step
technical processes
- eLearning or training-related professional certifications
Project & Collaboration Skills
- Demonstrated success managing complex projects - from inception
to delivery - including stakeholder communication and external
vendor oversight
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects or
courses simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven
cross-functional collaboration
- Facilitate the rollout of new or updated technical training
across global teams
- Experience working with global or geographically dispersed
teams
Technical & Industry Knowledge
- Ability to learn technical products quickly, often from
pre-release documentation or software
- Knowledge of Pharmaceutical industry training methodologies is
a plus
