Job Description
Do you live and breathe Automotive logistics and love turning
strategy into growth? At DP World, we’re looking for a
Director Road Freight Commercial Business Development –
Automotive to drive our Road Freight business forward
across Europe.
Your responsibilities
- Lead the growth of our Road Freight Automotive business –
revenue, pipeline, and profitability are in your hands
- Build and execute a go-to-market strategy for
Automotive customers (OEMs, Tier-1 & Tier-2 suppliers)
- Hunt for new business, win new logos, and
expand existing accounts by leveraging your strong network
- Win new logos and expand existing accounts by leveraging your

- Negotiate contracts, lead RFQs/RFIs, and close deals with
C-level stakeholders
- Work with Product, Solutions Design, and Operations to deliver
tailored FTL, LTL, multimodal, and EV trucking solutions
- Coach and inspire a team of commercial managers
- Partner with colleagues across Europe and globally to create
integrated, future-proof supply chain
solutions
- Align effectively with internal
stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery and account
transitions
Your profile
- 7+ years’ experience in Road Freight or Automotive logistics
(FTL, LTL, cross-border transport, multimodal)
- Proven success in value selling and solution
design
- Experience in the Automotive sector, ideally
with automotive customers
- Established network in the European Automotive industry
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing sales
teams
- Strategic thinker + hands-on closer with an entrepreneurial
mindset
- Fluent English (German preferred; other
European languages a plus)
- Flexible to be based in Germany, Poland, Netherlands, Spain, or
Italy
- Flexibility to travel 30–60% across Europe
- Positive, smiling personality, able to inspire and engage
clients and colleagues
