R&D Technical Architect (f/m/x)

What you'll be doing

  • Plan and design cost-efficient software and/or hardware architecture aligned with higher-level architectural standards
  • Define development guidelines and ensure compliance with non-functional requirements (quality, security, modifiability, extensibility)
  • Oversee requirements, architecture, software design, and implementation within defined scope
  • Document architecture using Clario’s “Views and Beyond Architecture Documentation” methodology
  • Validate implementation through regular code reviews and provide technical guidance
  • Solve technical challenges across all development lifecycle phases
  • Mentor and train R&D staff on technical topics
  • Ensure compliance with Solution and Enterprise Architecture standards
  • Promote “security-by-design” principles, ensuring data privacy and secure application interfaces
  • Support training plans and contribute to R&D process improvements

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Cloud certification (e.g., AWS or Azure Architect) is desirable
  • 3+ years’ experience in software/hardware architecture and development
  • Proficiency in UML 2.1 and experience with Enterprise Architect (Sparx Systems)
  • Strong background in Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation
  • Understanding of IaaS, Private Cloud, data-centre infrastructure, and network technologies
  • Experience in application migration to Cloud and Domain-Driven Design
  • Knowledge of software engineering frameworks, risk management, and security best practices
